Behind the Seams of Philip Sparks

Philip Sparks’ Spring Collection was a fashion delight to watch and soon to wear! LOVED the debut of his woman’s collection and am already putting together my wish list for spring! The perfect combination of serious, hip and easy; tailored, sharp, clean lines, airy palettes, bold check, cuffed everything and light fabrics. The nod to nostalgia and days of better dressing was prominent but presented in a way that is not only wearable but comfortable. Enviable trench coats, divine spectators, and chinos like we haven’t seen in a decade were some of my fav’s.

  2. What’s with the blue eyeshadow under the eyes and no socks with the oxfords?
Great photos and great clothes but I’ll forgo the blue eyeshadow and I’ll be wearing socks!

I think that the most exciting aspects of Fashion Week here in Toronto is getting a glimpse into the lead up and chaos that sometimes surrounds this event. Rather than traditional “runway photography” I’m glad that Toronto Life chose to go a more natural route.
It makes it real for those of us watching from a laptop. And allows some of the finer details of the collections to rise up. Nicely done.
