AL: Hi Bella! Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us, I know our readers appreciate it too! What are you working on these days?
EV: I am currently preparing to go back to work on the second season of Covert Affairs for USA.

Diamonds and Rubies by Neil Lane. Dress by Gryphon. Hair Makeup by Jeff Jones. Styling by Sam Russell.
AL: I have had the pleasure of working with you for years and know how much you love fashion. What is your take on the importance of fashion and style in the world of celebrity and entertainment?
EV: In an industry that is all about image and branding, fashion and style play a large role in the world of celebrity. I believe that the way you present yourself is extremely important… everything from speaking impeccably right down to the clothes you choose to wear.
AL: Do you think that personal style choices off camera hold any weight in terms of success in showbiz?
EV: I think if you choose pieces that are true to who you are, it’s just another expression of yourself.
AL: I know you spend most of your time in Los Angeles but you work in New York as well, what do you think is the biggest difference in fashion in terms of east versus west?
EV: I don’t spend a lot of time in New York… but I’d say the main difference is that you’re dealing with seasons. That requires a much more well rounded wardrobe. Los Angeles doesn’t have the same drastic weather changes from season to season.
AL: Where would you say your comfort zone is? Are you an Ugg’s and Lulu girl or are you more comfortable dressed up?
EV: It really depends on what I’m doing and how I feel. I love dressing up, but I also love lounging in a pair of worn in jeans and a cozy sweater.

Prepping for the Golden Globes. Diamonds by Neil Lane. Shoes and clutch by Christian Louboutin. Dress by Dolce and Gabbana. Stylist: Sam Russell Hair/Make up: Jeff Jones.
AL: You started your career as a model before you began acting, what advantage do you think having that experience gave you?
EV: At 16 I became acutely aware of what it was like to live in an adult world. As a result, I became fiercely independent and driven to succeed.
AL: You have graced the pages of lots of glossies including FASHION, FLARE, and ZINK. What would be your dream shoot?
EV: I’d have to say it’s a toss up between doing the cover of Vogue or Vanity Fair.
AL: Can you walk us through your process of choosing a garment for a red carpet event?
EV: It starts with a phone call to my stylist, Sam Russell. I let him know what the event is and what I have in mind. From there, he pulls pieces from various designers. After that, we set up a time to meet at my house to try everything on… and hopefully find the perfect outfit!
AL: What is your favorite fashion item?
EV: It changes, but right now, it’s the beautiful Paul Smith black silk scarf/wrap that my boyfriend gave me. It has horses all over it, but you can only tell if you hold it up to the light… it’s gorgeous!
AL: What’s on your fashion wish-list for Spring?
EV: Hmmmmm… I’ve had my eye on the horse bit necklace from Gucci… in case you haven’t noticed… I’m really into horses!!!
