Kim Mimran never attempts to re-invent the fashion wheel, she focuses on celebrating femininity in looks that are easy to translate. Pink Tartan’s SS’12 collection featured flattering day dresses, easy shirt and skirt combos, and wearable cigarette pants paired with matching tops. I am crazy about the lipstick red skinny pants Taryn Davidson rocked, they came in cobalt too-I might need both!

Designer Amanda Lew Kee presented her SS/2012 collection in the studio yesterday at LG Fashion Week. The series of digital printed separates with sheer insets was paired with neutral basics and a few standalone gowns, all with a very athletic overtone. The models all sported translucent green visors to shield the view of passerby’s trying to catch a glimpse of the dangerously short skirts and cropped tops through the windows. I did love the bronze silk top and matching tennis skirt however I’d probably pair it with gold capezios and a faux-fur shrug.
